MacyI grew up just outside of Greenville, OH. For as long as I can remember, my family has had dogs. I've also been watching family members' dogs for years. To me, a life without dogs would be so boring! I graduated from Greenville Senior High School in 2017. While in high school, I attended Edison State Community College where I completed most of my general studies. Following high school, I studied Secondary Education and History at Indiana University East for a few years. I attended Dog Trainer College in Spencer, IN in 2021 and became a Certified Dog Trainer. I wear many hats, but I currently manage the kennels on a day-t0-day basis as well as take care of all customer service, graphic design, and marketing. In 2022, I also launched Four Paws and Me Co. - a mommy + me dog boutique where I sell handmade bandanas and pocket tees to match.
TaylorI was born and raised in Union City, IN. My love for animals started at a young age. My mom and sister were always rescuing animals & bringing them home. As a teen, I rescued a few cats, dogs, a lamb, and learned to raise bottle calves from my grandpa. I'm a 2010 graduate of Union City Community High School. I attended Ivy Tech Community College where I earned my Associate's Degree in Business Administration & my Class A CDL. I have driven professionally since 2013 & have been an owner-operator since 2014. After many years of driving, I was ready for a change. In the summer of 2021, I attended Reppert Auction School and then I passed my licensure test to officially become an auctioneer. In spring of 2022, I hung up driving to focus on my auctioneer business full time, Auction - Buy - Koon. I still manage the kennels day-to-day as well.
UsOur love for dogs has always bonded us. In fact, one of our very first conversations was about dogs. Today, we reside on the outskirts of Union City, Indiana with four dogs of our own - Klaus, Mia, Ada, and Hank. They keep us on our toes, but we can't imagine our life without them. Our dogs were part of the inspiration for Koon Homestead Kennels.
Thankfully, we have always been able to count on our family to take care of our dogs when we are out of town, but we understand it's a lot to ask of someone. We know that some people are not as fortunate to have someone they can count on to watch their dog, so we want to be able to provide that service to others. |
Our crew. Our reason.
